ABOUT BLACBRIK
Their mission is to forge a deep connection with audiences—transcending the traditional divide between stage and seats. Through intricate choreography and meaningful dramaturgy, McLean and Drooh invite audiences into a dialogue, making each performance an act of shared experience.
BlacBrik’s journey began in New York, where the pair first collaborated and contributed to the NYC Jazz Choreography Festival, before continuing their partnership in the UK. Their work has since been praised by international critics, with reviews in outlets such as Bachtrack, SeeingDance, British Theatre Guide, and Gramilano, spotlighting the company as an emerging voice in contemporary dance. Most recently, they were named in Bachtrack’s “Stars of the Future: Ten Dance Talents to Watch in 2025–26.”
With roots in community and an eye on the global stage, BlacBrik continues to build a body of work that merges cultural influences and reimagines how stories can be told through dance.
